Adolfo Peralta (b. 1996) is a Dominican-American painter and animator. His practice employs the language of these long-established mediums to explore the complexities of his identity and lived experiences as a queer Latino individual. Through this multidisciplinary approach, he builds imagined environments from personal narratives and observations of the world around him. Drawing from photography, 3D-rendered environments, and memory, he creates spaces that move between the past, present, and an imagined future. Within these worlds, bodies, characters, and natural environments emerge as fragments of experience in a continual state of transformation through the process of making. His work functions as an evolving visual diary, preserving these fleeting experiences and impressions.

Adolfo Peralta received his BFA in Painting and a BA in Digital Media from Rhode Island College. His was part of the 2023-2024 WaterFire Accelerate Cohort, a year-long professional development program for emerging artists which concluded with a group exhibition at the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. His work has also been exhibited in the Providence Art Club, Rhode Island College (RIC), and the University of Rhode Island (URI).
